Hongkong Pools – Cool Off With a Swim

As much as we love Hong Kong, the summer weather can make anyone want to hibernate under an air-conditioned sheet or dive into an ice-cold pool. Luckily, there are many top-notch hongkong pools that provide the perfect opportunity to cool off with a swim while enjoying some of the city’s most breathtaking scenes.

If you’re looking for a refreshing dip, head to W Hong Kong’s WET (Weather Entertainment Terrace) on the 76th floor of the hotel. This is one of the highest rooftop pools in the world, so you can expect to be swimming with a view. Indulge in a cocktail at the bar and soak up the iconic skyline from this unique vantage point.

You’ll find a host of other interesting features at this pool, including underwater speakers that play music from your smartphone and a hot and cold whirlpool to ease sore muscles. There are also yoga and tai chi classes held by the pool to keep you active throughout your stay at this luxury hotel.

The hotel has several pools, but its infinity pool offers the most stunning views of Victoria Harbour. You can also take in the sights from the hotel’s rooftop, or sit by the lap pool and take in the gorgeous scenery from another vantage point.

While you’re relaxing by the pool, don’t forget to order a delicious meal from one of the hotel’s restaurants or grab some snacks from the cafe. And if you’re feeling like a drink, head to the pool bar for some drinks and light bites.

It’s worth noting that there have been no cases of coronavirus transmission via swimming in the former British colony. However, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department has struggled to hire enough lifeguards and some public pools may only be partially open this month. Some private pools are also closing due to staffing shortages.

The union representing professional sports and physical education workers warns that the decision to close some of the city’s swimming pools could have a negative impact on children, especially those who are participating in lessons at their schools. It also said the closures would hurt the city’s reputation as a global sporting hub, a claim the government denies.

Hongkong pools offer a variety of different activities, and some even have a sauna or steam bath. You can also use them for fitness classes, or rent a cabana for the day. They’re a great way to relax after a long day at work, or just enjoy the scenery with your friends and family. Just don’t forget to bring a towel!
